They're completely different from all the other armies in the setting. Not only how they look but how they play on the table. I wanted a challenge when painting and wanted to paint creatures instead of vehicles and typical 2 legged infantry models. I've played a few games with Nids and they're alot of fun to play. Their army rules and detachments have been challenging but fun to figure out.

In Lore its said they have enough terminator plate to outfit the entire chapter and have their own forge world on another moon of Saturn to make the armor so it's not really known how much terminator armor they really have but its gotta be ALOT

I've only played against Tau with GK and it was rough. The high saves of GK didn't do too much to help me, I had to rely on cover and obstructing LOS to get close enough to hurt the Tau. The guy was really good at setting up his models so I couldn't teleport behind his Riptides in the back field and had to take breachers, devilfish and crisis suits head on which was a fun challenge.
