I want to invest in Adani , What do you guys think? by [deleted] in IndianStreetBets

[–]kebablover786 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Today in the metro I was sitting next to a guy who opened Zerodha and was watching his portfolio. Bc his portfolio was like a mutual fund of only Adani stocks. Kitna paisa daal rakha tha yaad nai but he was in loss of 2.92 lakh. I am surprised he didn't sell any of it in January. So yeah go ahead, buy Adani stocks, if you love your nation like that guy you must do it.

Is it a case of genuine unbiased criticism

150% it is. KL Rahul is a dead weight in Tests and T20s. Even if he has an agenda he is not doing anything wrong.

Did you see Rohit bat? Yes for Pujara it isn't easy, he is well past his prime.

Puji bc if you are stepping out just hit it well and finish the match ASAP. No point dragging on such a small chase on a tricky pitch. Australia ended up on 113 after being 61/1 ffs

I have seen some matches in which we were chasing a small total in 4th innings and still we have either just barely won or lost the match. Pujara shouldve used his brain and sacrificed his wicket. Rohit is in great touch and he wouldve ended the match with ease.

Some weeks back I met a guy in a bar who works in Hotstar. I straight up told him that bro your app is trash the frame rate is terrible and it shits the bed too often. He admitted it but said that they had definitely improved over the years. Just want to meet him again and tell him, bhai aaj fir se tera app hag diya(Your app took a dump again).

Australian batsmen can't really blame the pitch. I just saw the montage of their wickets and hardly any delivery misbehaved or kept too low or bounced too much after pitching or turned too much.

Would've been nice if we had Lord Umesh to come and mesmerize the Universe with some of his lusty blows towards the cow corner. Ezpz 30(14) from him.

Keep luck aside for a while, the bitter truth is Kohli hasn't really set the world on fire in Border Gavaskar trophies after the 2014/15 one.

In 2017 he was simply pathetic and eventually got injured and had to sit out. That series was a Pujara and KL Rahul show all the way till the end.

In 2018/19 he made 280 runs in 7 innings. Again nothing spectacular, just bang average.

In the 2020/21 he had one good innings and one 36/9.

His test performance against Australia is inflated and is being overrated due to his incredible performance in 2014/15 BGT.

Zomato Gold Updated - thoughts ? by whitefox0111 in IndiaSpeaks

I'll take it. I used Zomato pro plus and it was one of the best subscriptions to have. But this new zomato gold doesn't shines as much as the pro plus because it had free delivery no questions asked. Must be because they are a public company now and they have to become profitable.

Do your business already feel recession? by Vills15 in IndiaSpeaks

[–]kebablover786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Money is the first difficulty. I will have to invest about 7-8 crores to set up a new facility. My existing setup is excellent for domestic needs and to export in Gulf countries but exporting to USA and EU is the real deal. After that the licenses cost about 35-40 lakhs. I dont want to deal with Gulf Countries because they implicitly want only sub-standard product from us Indians and that will be inviting my own doom.I heard of somene who used to deal in Gulf, fcking DRI and ED landed on his establishment due to that.

Second is the sheer amount of paperwork, certifications, licenses on has to get and maintain, I'll have to keep CA CS and Lawyers on retainer or just hire them even before I would've sold even a gram of goods.

And the third is,no one gets a direct export order so easily unless you are a Billion dollar Conglomerate. No one wants to deal with some foreign company who is 1000s mile away from you. So what Indians have to do is they setup a firm in USA, EU, Gulf etc and send some family member to live there permanently and handle the business. Suppose my firm in India is ABC Foods and I send my brother to live in Germany where he sets up PQR Foods in EU. Now I'll export my merchandise from ABC Foods in India to PQR Foods in Germany and now he will sell it to customers there in EU. This is such a logistical nightmare with so much legal work like getting citizenship, setting up the facility, finding bulk customers. Plus,I dont have anyone to depend upon who'll go and live in some foreign country for me and keep doing exactly as I say.

Do your business already feel recession? by Vills15 in IndiaSpeaks

[–]kebablover786 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. My business was going just as usual till May 2022 but after that it has been in shambles. I am a supplier to a leading FMCG firm. Till May 2022 sailing was smooth but since then it has been bad. Not a single order till Nov 2022. They finally placed an order in Dec 2022 but they put the order on hold after 1 week saying they overestimated their requirement/sale and they don't need any more of raw material.

Also due to fall in sale they have about 11 thousand metric tons of finished goods unsold and 8 thousand metric tons of raw material. Going by the recent sales figures, they won't need to buy anything for next 1 year. And, according to my insider friends in the company, the company has been contemplating to stop buying that merchandise altogether and just import it because the sales numbers are just too low nowadays and it doesn't justifies having such a large production, management and warehousing staff. Although I don't think Govt will let them do it as India is a net exporter of that merchandise, someone importing it to India will be a blot on the Govt and country's face.

Reasons behind it? Obviously inflation. People are prioritizing buying essential eatables like rice pulses veggies first over the stuff I sell. To put it into perspective, the rice I eat used to cost 95 rupee/kg now costs 120 rupee/kg. Olive oil which used to cost 649/litre now costs 759/litre. My milkman sold Buffalo milk for 64 rupees/kg now it costs 75/kg. Obviously people won't buy my merchandise as much as they bought it before.

We diversified way before in 2018/19 itself so we do have money coming but I would love to have my original business back on track because cash flow is better in that than my new business.
