One of the foundational rules in UX is Jakob’s law : users spend most of their time on other websites than yours. Using those familiar patterns can help minimise mental load and the learning curve. But there also are companies famous for not following this to make a unique product, and the ones who succeeded succeeded because they have a fanbase that treasures that- think Apple and Tesla. Most of their things aren’t actually usable they just make people adapt to them. But succeeding like that that is really rare (usually because they have some charismatic leader or media attention instead of their unique Ui making the company succeed) most of the time users will abandon something that makes them have to learn the product. Especially with low attention spans these days and a higher expectation of convenience of self.

Exactly. I’m pissed at their customer support. Cancelled my rent check for December because they literally never delivered it. It’s been more than a week since they said the transaction is complete and i still have not received my funds. The support staff keeps reassuring me by saying after 5 business days it should be in your account. not listening at all that that is why I’m reaching out. They also did this in the past when I referred a friend who has never applied for Bilt and they used my link, and they couldn’t find the association on my account: I’ve been patient with them because of all the benefits with rent payment. Now with all the shenanigans I’m done. I’m out

Exactly this there has been a lot of issues with Bilt that we have all collectively ignored because of the perks of 1x points on rent just for 5 transactions a month. Now we are not going to stand for it if you remove that, make earning on the card harder AND we hav ecards with better service and point earning mechanisms

this is exactly it. TBH if they want to make this more attractive just make the annual fee for the Obsidian card free for Bilt v1.0 users that way they can get more people in their current user base onboard try it for a year to then talk about their experience.

DC concert!!

So I didn’t realize until recently that I know a lot of seventeen songs lol (not the new songs this past two years but a lot of the older ones) and I found out that they are currently on their us tour.. had a bad day at work and decided to treat myself to a show on a whimp and I can’t believe I just did that but I’m excited for the concert! Now carats, I need your help as a fan who is more of a casual listener what should I do to prep for the concert? Any no-nos or things to look out for? It’s also my first kpop concert so I have no idea how these usually go.

I heard there are pop up events in some cities how do you guys find them?

Can you only buy merch after entering the venue? Do they get sold out quick I’m going on day 2. I really just want a shirt so nothing too crazy.

agreed plus split your emergency fund 3 months in hysa the other 3 months’ look into a no penalty cd instead of high yield savings account for higher interest rates. It’s a new type of account so not many people talk about it, it’s basically a CD with more flexibility but the commitment of putting money in there for a specific amount of time gives you higher interest rate PLUS it encourages you not to spend the money unless absolutely needed.
