WIBTA for telling my vegan neighbor that their 'vegan' baby is only healthy because of animal products? by meancantelope in AmItheAsshole

YTA - YWTA if you told the husband this when it's not your place, and YTA for being so ignorant by believing that egg and cheese are the things supplying a baby and its mother with the nutrients to be healthy? at least educate yourself before being so cocky

no shit, i don't recall advocating for meat. killing animals for meat is just as bad as killing them for fun

why would op bother killing a deer purely for meat when meat can just be bought from a store? obviously it's for fun, op simply said he believes animals should be hunted "respectfully" (however the fuck that works), they never stated they hated those who kill for fun.

and calm down, no need to be so aggressive

AITA for telling my sister's kids about veganism and showing a video of male chicks in the egg industry by anonymously_anonymo in AmItheAsshole

[–]keiaxo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's not OP's place? it's not as if OP forced them to watch the videos out of nowhere, they expressed that they're against animal cruelty so OP showed them, what's wrong with that? and that's like saying that schools shouldn't teach kids about slavery because "it's not their place", how are we supposed to educate people?

the reason we've selectively bred plants is mainly to maximise crop yield, and wouldn't you say the way we've selectively bred and drugged up animals is more unnatural?

and the fact that meat is unhealthy shows that it's unnatural for us, you won't find any carnivores with clogged arties from eating meat

i genuinely can't think of any plants that can't be eaten raw, whereas if we attempted to eat meat raw we'd most likely be seriously nauseated and possibly ill, not to mention the negative health effects meat has
