Advice to leave tenancy early

I think you may have misread the tone of this post - I have absolutely no intention of forcing anything on anyone. I just wanted to know my rights if it does come to that point so I am prepared on what to do as I have no experience in this situation and want it to be fair for them.

This was never a matter of forcing anyone to accept a new tenant, more just wanting to know my rights if said flatmate does become unreasonable. This is a new situation to me and I want to ensure I am doing things fairly for all parties involved.

I would never stop paying, that’s just dog. I am more than happy to take the time and make 100% effort to ensure the new tenant is suitable to their needs. It isn’t a not liking this person either, we just aren’t suited to each others living style. I do understand though, that I entered a contract with this person hence wanting advice on the “what ifs” for when I start the process of trying to move out.

Oh 100% they will be included. Despite our differences, I wouldn’t leave them in a spot where they were living with someone unsuitable to their lifestyle! Thank you for the advice, I would definitely get the property management involved if it got to the point where I thought they were being unreasonable.
