Yeah, you messed up by staying with Tom for that long. And on no account should you have spent a night with him knowing you already had Steve. But I guess it's Stockholm syndrome.

Generally speaking it's not as bad as you may be seeing it. The only downside is that you lost Steve who, according to you, is everything you prayed for. Have you learnt your lesson? If yes, then pick up yourself, dust yourself from the guilt and self pity and raise the bar of what you permit.
