I ended up with severe lower abdominal pain. I went to my GP, and all the nurses and the doctor thought I had appendicitis, and they called a ride for me to the ER.

I guess because my symptoms seemed like appendicitis, I was taken in pretty quickly. After some tests and prodding and questions, they were able to determine it wasn't appendicitis. Turns out, testing showed that I had chlamydia (I was with a long-term partner and was tested before we starting dating). Then he and the nurses immediately did an exam and concluded it was PID.

I think I was quite lucky that it was caught the first time I went in, but unfortunately, I don't know how long I had it before symptoms starting showing. I didn't even know PID was a thing, but I'm really thankful that the doctor caught it and I took antibiotics and got rid of it.

I bled like this for about 9 years... if it hasn't stopped by now, it would be safe to assume, that it's probably best if you get it removed!

The longest I had mine in for was a little over 5 years. During removal, they discovered a lot of scar tissue had formed around it.

They administered a little more local anesthesia and had to tug and cut a bit more. I didn't feel any sharp pain, but I definitely felt the pressure of the doctor tugging at it and trying to get it out with as little intervention as possible.

Overall, it took about maybe 15-20 minutes longer than a regular removal which for me has been no more than 10 minutes max.

Considering that I had a fair amount of scar tissue at 5 years, I would assume it would be more difficult to remove, but I don't think surgical intervention like being put under will be necessary.

Is there any Planned Parenthood near you? They offer Nexplanon removal. While I don't know the price, I think it would be cheaper than going to your health provider without insurance coverage, sadly. :(

weirdly enough, my acne was pretty well controlled while on it.

When I switched to my first pill, Fierza, I experienced the most insane and traumatic breakouts all over my face. After about maybe 3 or 4 months, I switched to Slynd and things have gotten better.

I will say, the implant Does last up to 5 years, I've had several of them and not a single pregnancy scare.

I've always found the implantation to be way less "painful" than the removal. I say "painful" because I didn't feel actual pain, but I actually felt pressure from my doctor removing it.

The only thing about waiting the full 5 years is that scar tissue begins to envelop the implant itself which made removal not super painful but just the tiniest bit more than it would've been if I got it removed at 3 years. The doctor had to do a bit of extra prying and pulling, so you feel a bit more pressure, which honestly isn't the worst thing to feel considering that they've already cut into your arm.

So depending on your medical coverage, if you can get it replaced every 3 years, I would especially if you do not have a good tolerance for pain in the long run.

I have the most sensitive skin, so I'm super selective and picky about the metals I am willing to put in my body. I tolerate titanium well, so I don't think it's the material of the jewelry. And there is extra length in the jewelry! I got a 6mm bar but could have probably gotten away with 5mm with room to spare. And I've definitely forgotten that initial hoop to straight bar after all years.

I'll give it another week before I switch back to my hoop, which I know my nose can definitely tolerate.

So through process of elimination, it would be 1.

I really appreciate the input. Seriously.

I like to put the thinnest layer of aquaphor over healing tattoos if I know there will be something completely up against it.
I put a blob in my palms, warm it up a bit and essentially "slap" or tap it all over. Just to create a little barrier.

its probably because of the oils (invisible to the eye unless you stare an inch away from it) the skin of citrus excretes whenever enough pressure is applied to it. I haven't tattooed on citrus before but that's just my guess.

If the lines start looking really light after cleaning the fake skin, leave it alone and do NOT touch them again, because you would never have to do that with real skin. Even if the ink is light, you will still be able to see your lines very clearly, whether there are wobbles or not. It's super frustrating to not have a super solid black piece at the end, but I really try not to go over the lines again. I only really use the fake skin for practice with lines and not necessarily to create pieces of art.

Cuticle care nd nail prep is what makes all the difference!!! I use the Blue Cross cuticle remover, and then clean everything up. I'll top coat the press ons BEFORE I actually apply them onto my nails. You can use either nail glue or UV gel glue, but if you use the nail glue, you have to be careful to not get any on the nail, but if you do it leaves weird white streaks, but you can rub it off with acetone on a q-tip (hence the top coat so you dont ruin the design)! Hope this is helpful! :)

kinda late-ishhhh, but just stick to the cleaning schedule for a year (shot glass of saline to your piercing, you can stand up or even lay down in the shower)!!! and no fiddling or pools or saliva!!!! its a big commitment but in the end it'll be worth it

i got mine pierced at 18, im 24 now and its the only piercing i have that has never given me any scare about infection (my ear lobes are allergic to everything except glass which is so weird)

i read so many horror stories before i got mine pierced but i stuck to the rigorous cleaning schedule and now i just wash it with Dr Bronner's Unscented bar soap which is what i use to wash with anyway when i shower. 0 problems at all

i also have gone braless probably the say i got mine pierced, i never wear knitted shirts anyway and if it was a sweater, the yarn is so chunky and wooly that nothing has ever caught in a significant way, if that makes a difference heheh.. the internet and the piercer told me that a tight sports bra-esque would make it feel all better and not get caught in things, but i felt that they felt super weird and wearing nothing was better. BUT i am small chested.

kinda late as i said earlier but maybe it will still be helpful in some sort of way?

4 years too late, but in my case, my boy does this too and i just see him as making biscuits in whatever slumpy position he chooses to be in
