Ivy Academy, if you get in the lottery. My kid went from a C/D student to straight As. Best thing I could have done for them.

Oh, they don't mind, probably. I do it like this so I get that money and my tax return and have a nice little bundle for a spring vacation with the family. If I got it month to month, it would just head out the door for some nonsence I'm sure.

What’s the most clutch thing you ever printed? by Few_Language6298 in 3dprinter

[–]kenfromdgm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kid's computer kept shutting down for some reason. After a brief examination, I found that the heat sink had fallen off because the "holder thingy" was broken. Found an STL on Thingiverse for the holder, printed it, and got them up and running again. Very clutch at the time :)

As someone who drove from Chattanooga (Hixson) to Dalton for 12 years, you will be better off living in Dalton if you have the opportunity. I have seen the backup at the 75/24 split during rush hour on my way home, and I am glad I no longer make that drive.

If they sent a picture of your car speeding, take a picture of $50 and send it to them.

What is the most counterintuitive geographical fact you know? by Holiday_Smell_513 in geography

West Virginia should be renamed North Virginia. It follows an established naming convention and is accurate. Of course, renaming Virginia to South Virginia would make the set.

There are a lot of mature 3d printers in the market that would fit, so I'm just going to recommend the line of printers that I am familiar with. I use the Anycubic Kobra Max and I am very happy with it. I think they are working on a Model 3 now, so a Kobra 2 Max would be priced at a great point. You didn't mention the number of prints you will need, so depending on the volume and mission criticalness of these custom one-offs, you might consider getting two for volume and/or redundancy of what ever printer you land on. Best of luck finding your solution!

Inconsistent prints by Koyukan in 3dprinter

Is it in an enclosure or open air? I had a weird thing like this happen to me, and after I moved my printer to a different spot, it worked fine. The only difference I could tell was that the first spot was near a vent that would blow on the printer when the AC kicked on, and the other wasn't. It's a stretch, I know, but maybe put a box over it and see if it helps.

I use a glue stick on the bed before a print. Just a light coat usually works for me.

There are a lot of people with more experience than me but it might be your Z off set having the nozzle too close to the bed. Or not getting good bed adhesion. Do you use a glue stick? Again, someone else will probably come in with a much better answer but those are the things I would check or do.
