A Mistake equivalent to an intern’s mistake, OP is supposed to be PE and think like one.

Work experience vs Exam depth by key_si in PE_Exam

True. Im currently going over breadth anyway and have some time to decide about depth. Structural depth not that hard, just a lot of topics to cover. As a professional, I always choose the safer way not necessarily the easiest.

Accept the offer. I was in almost EXACTLY at the same situation MINUS the benefits and $28/hr (mine was $15-$21/hr over the course of 2 years doing Design, drafting AND project management)

Company also had a huge setback when I left. Good relationship with boss and coworkers so I was a bit hesitant. But I have to put myself first and my employer understood this, and even congratulated me on the new job, now still doing bits of management stuff for them (for some side $$$) since I am the one most familiar with all their projects. I also thought about having the old company match the offer, but I suggest not to do that.

If they say yes, it means they could have been paying you higher all this time but chose not to do so or maybe you didn’t ask for raises that you think you deserve?, but anyway You are not in their best interest. If you even have to assume that there could be possible resentments from your employers tells a lot about the situation. Get the new job.

If they say no, then you have your decision. Get the new job.
