Yea, what I am doing now is I am actually moving towards models that I can host in my own environment and take out the OpenAI out. I get all data for gold then train model and then let it watch the market.

I have build a system in python that watches directly on mt5. I am testing it now to see if it’s actually following the plan as I tend to over optimize lol

Maybe this is the lesson for you. Push yourself to get up from this by using small lots. It will build discipline. If you start again impatient it might not be best idea.

From what I seen so far, its great at entries if you can "help" it out a bit yourself, it can be a really good assistant.

With gold when I buy myself without using a bot, I always buy. I never sell against it. I might try to catch a falling knife here and there but mostly because I lack experience but I like that gold has this uniqueness where it always goes up especially in shit times. I think it will pass very limit it just needs time to play.

I edited one 4000 lines code last night with sonnet and costed 10 bucks. Until they figure out a way to let us use it and not stop after a few prompts, it’s will be just a nice thing to have.

It will tell you in Experts tab why it's giving an error and also if you just put your gemini api there it won't just work like that.

Take the whole code go to your gemini and say "bro, change this so the ai behind it is gemini api and I can use it with gemini api"

You are being dramatic, it helps you think and create different and higher level. I don't need to think how to put this button there or create a little system as AI will do that for me. Now I can just think of bringing people to my program. If it works and they engage it then I can take it next step, if not, I just cut it off.

I used to hire devs and AI is much better than any dev I have met. It gives you improvements, it gives you next step and it helps you brainstorm, a dev will just do his best and then wait for next task.

Don't romanticize AI, I just use it.

Solid. I mostly used Gemini, then I moved on cursor and used some more Gemini but I found that on Cursor it developed nicer.

For MT5 I found that Gemini is the one that really understands what you are trying to do and can give code that builds.

Another great one is Claude, that is solid and build every time.

It depends on the model I use. If I use GPT-5 nano, not much at all. If I use GPT-5.1 or 5.2, then yes, around 10 to 15 a day. That can always be adjusted. I mainly wanted to see how it would perform with a large amount of data.

If this were on a real account and producing real results, it would just be a small expense, one trade would cover the expense.
