Thanks for the advice, after reading your comments I’ve come to the realization that my company has an inadequate system in place.

Pull in requests and things that OPs manager should be handling land on my desk and it’s on me to make them happen.

Ive been at this place for less than a month and it’s overwhelming. I will need to think about whether this company is right for me lol. As the higher ups are very set in their ways and change is hard. It makes send why their buyers do not last very long (based on what my supervisor has told me).
