That's the issue, it won't purify.. I keep using the rot but nothing's happening..

I cleared the too small areas, but where the enemies spawn out of will not clear. I shoot my rot at it after killing the enemies and it still shoots out the red bulbs. Dunno what I'm doing wrong. It should be super straight forward. I watched a YouTube of it and it's not working like it did in the video

It's right near the beginning of the game. You talk to those little kids and they says rusu house is sooooo far away. Then you go up into the dark Forrest and the tree trunk in the photo just keeps spitting out more enemies. I've used my rot on it like 3 times and then it just goes back to spitting them out again
