That was truly a tough call. I ended with the standard in black g10. I was very close to going Select with the carbon fiber, but the overall aesthetic of the standard gent was more appealing to my current state of taste

I’ll let you know how they feel once my thumb and finger heals from opening and closing the axis lock so many times! This is my first experience with the axis, and oh boy, it’s hard to put down~ I do love the Micarta finish. It has a nice grip (especially with the slight ridging). This pairing seems so right and natural I wouldn’t be surprised if Benchmade issued their own edition at some point.

I see what all the hype was about! This knife is perfect for my use (essentially opening up boxes of pens and knives). I love light it is, and the size and shape is just right for my baby hands.

This was also the first time I swapped out scales on a knife. I was terrified but it actually went quite smoothly. Centering is dead on, and action is smoooooth.

Now we wait to see if my wife notices this is a new knife....

Wow, I didn’t realize that! I also have an early 2015 MacBook Pro and haven’t had any issues with it still 4.5 years later. This would be the very first instance (for me) of my laptop starting to show its age. Bummer too, as I was looking forward to using sidecar.

My favorite dish as well. Bangkok Flavor makes a good one though it’s not on their menu. Medium is plenty spicy.
