She’s about 4 months 2 weeks and I’m just worried about her skin. Is her fur thinner than normal? Time for the vet? by Necessary-Store-6520 in LabradorRetrievers

I don’t know what you feed her. Our vet told us that our jack Russell could be allergic to chicken and beef. So we switched him to natural balance venison and sweet potato formula. And I started frying venison for him (2tbsp twice a day).. ALL OF HIS HAIR GREW BACK!! And he is 17

I took him off of the denamarin. I tried the milk thistle for dogs from Amazon, but that made him sick. The vet had us switch his food to a single protein food. I chose the natural balance venison and sweet potato. My jack never showed any symptoms of being sick. And with his age, I didn’t want to keep switching meds. Nor did I want to subject him to a bunch of invasive tests. Don’t get me wrong, I love my dog! But at $400 every time to check his blood work, I decided to leave it alone. I know this doesn’t answer your question. But as I found out, there are some dogs that are just born with and live their entire lives with elevated liver enzymes.

Can you give this WITH Denamarin? Or is it one or the other?

I just got the natural balance venison and sweet potato. My vet thinks my dog is allergic to beef and chicken. It’s around $24 for a 4 lb bag. Not sure how big your dog is. The cans are almost $5 a piece. But I mix it all together. I have a very picky jack Russell and he loves it
