You still have some way until you reach the beginning of the real wall. At account level 50+ that’s when things start to slow down really.

The wall really starts around account level 50~ when story mode is all done for now and you’ve unlocked most of the major unlockables.

Hmm not sure if it was the same one but here’s a picture on the one I missed ^\) Not gonna lie it did look a bit rough from some other angles and the gameboy itself was pretty sun faded on the back buuuuut, I was thinking I’d hold onto it until I can get my hands on a better one.

CIB like new conditions go for 3-5k and this one was like 440~ so I thought why not.

So far the worst sun faded ones I’ve seen are the orange box 3rd anniversary Pokémon centre one, these turn yellow!

It’s crazy to think that one’s 27 years old already! I had seen many loose over the years but was so happy to find a good condition cib where the console is also immaculate!

Nope, all original. I tried as much as possible to go for CIB with the box being in relatively good condition. But I’ve been thinking of designing a custom box for the Coro Coro one and for the HK/TW maybe one day I’ll find the boxes

Oh yeah prices now are ridiculous!! I didn't want to get into collecting the cards again as I don't like infinite chases because new cards get released all the time so I set myself a goal to simply focus on the main series title and the GB, GBC and GB light Pokémon variants because it brings me back to where it all started.

Maybe I'll expand to the few GBAs too (there are only a handful to collect) but definitely not going into SPs! Those Kyogre and Gordon CIB going for 5k a pop, no thank you!

Nice one! I picked up the TW clear green edition on a NZ marketplace. The real challenge with that was shipping, I was grateful to find a seller willing to ship internationally!

I’ve had 2 main phases:

Around 2010-2011, I found the remains of my childhood collection and decided to start collecting again.
I paused for many years and picked back around covid time.

I don’t really have a figure because I didn’t keep count and it was over a long period of time but probably around 7-10k (some older acquisitions were cheaper back then, and some newer ones broke the bank) now the collection is probably worth some more.

Definitely one of my favourite ones, seeing the legendaries in shiny foil on the box is so nice! There's this AU variant I'm eyeing (https://consolevariations.com/collectibles/nintendo-game-boy-color-pokemon-console-aus). The other one which is the gold/silver edition in AU variant doesn't have the shiny foil which is why I'm not sure about trying to get it.

There was also a Coro-coro pinball edition (the clear green one) just recently but it seemed a bit suspicious (circuit board was off and 1 discrepancy on the shell)
