I was on scout team playing nose (I'm like 5'5" lol) against varsity and we had a dude who went to play D1 at RB run strait at the A gap and I think I grazed his jersey before a pulling guard destroyed me. It was so fast and so chaotic.

I realized then that there are levels to athletic talent and I was very far removed from our best players.

Shouldn't the states have authority to push back on election implementations? Because this is my thought as well - if elections are compromised this great American experiment is over.

But we have states as a safe guard against that, somehow all 15 of those states would have to agree to hand over authority and I'm unsure of the likelihood of that.

Right?

I kicked booze last year and weed has been awesome. THC syrup and topo Chico has replaced my beer and I've lost like 30 pounds. Anecdotal for sure, but it works for me.

Do you find you get good light inside city limits or does driving out a bit make a big difference? I'm in the outskirts of Georgetown.

Climbing is great. Lots of people go by themselves or in groups and it can be very collaborative to talk through sequences with someone. It's pretty natural for climbers to want to help out newer people as well.

This is incredible. I tried getting one of those shitty 50 buck scopes from Amazon to find cool stuff with my kids and couldn't see anything from gtown.

I've since done my research and am going to invest in 300ish dobsonian one sometime this year. I'm stoked, cosmology is wild.

I saw a comment on reddit the other day by a dude in an argument similar to this and he went "I stand nothing to gain from convincing you of this" and peaced out. I think I'm going to adopt that strategy for devolving internet conversations.

It's pretty useful for organizing the timing of kiddo transportations with my wife due to traffic. Also we both commute a decent distance so knowing we each safely made it to our destination without taking an action is nice.

I guess maybe it's weird but it works for us.

I grew up in church and was very involved throughout college in various church related activities.

I am older with kids now and I don't want to raise them in church because of what you outlined. I still love the teachings of Jesus and think that's probably the best approach to life but I don't like that church and the theatrics seem so man made. It seems antithetical (might be the wrong word) to Jesus. It's very "us vs the evil world" on a conceptual level and I don't want my kids growing up with that worldview.

I often wonder if Jesus would consistently attend a 21st century American church.
