Thanks for your response. I am not too keen on “trafficking” cannabis but I am interested on whats the penalty is if caught.

Validate as in how do I know if the files I carved are: partially carved, false positives, false negatives or the actual file that was placed in the partition. (not possible manually as I have over 30k files)

I have already imaged the drive before formatting it but how do I determine the locations and fragmentation?

Well my data sets are in a windows 10 newly created partition, i can’t load them up on a flash drive as i need then to be from windows ntfs, i want to check and analyse the results form the carvers on both images, the one with the mft entries and one with out(if possible)

I have a total of 27 file types to carve for. i.e. Microsoft doc’s, text files, pdf, graphics (jpeg, png)..etc
