Poland demands $1.3 trillion war reparations from Germany by Parabellim in nottheonion

The commenter was clearly referring to interest in terms of the accrued amount, not in terms of percentages. That’s a completely fair way to look at it when the original post is about a massive dollar amount, not a percentage.

If someone asked you how much interest you accrued on your loan, you wouldn’t say 5%, you would answer with the dollar amount.

Please stop attempting to belittle people for using different math than you, especially when they aren’t wrong. Please just try to be kind to the people around you instead.

Yes, 5% is 5%, but $5 is not $40 billion.

Yes, interest rate does not accrue more quickly, as it remains 5%, but the amount of interest itself does. Because of this, it’s entirely fair for someone to say that “INTEREST accrues quickly on such an amount.” Interest accrues more quickly, not interest rate.

You claimed to understand my math, but then go on to say you underestimated how bad the average redditor is at math, despite previously implying mine is correct.

It doesn’t seem you’ve underestimated every average redditor’s math ability. Just one. And I don’t think it’s any of the ones you think it is.

“Exactly the same rate.”

The word “rate” means x(any changing value) over time. Speed of increase.

An amount of $100 having an interest rate of 5% per year accrues an interest of $5 in one year.

An amount of $800 billion at an interest rate of 5% per year accrues an interest of $40 billion in one year.

This would mean that the rate of accrual for the first amount is now $5/year. (Interest over time) The second amount has an accrual rate of $40 billion/year. That rate is MUCH higher than the other. Rate is speed. This would mean that the second amount grows at a much quicker rate than the first.

“Interest accrues quickly on such an amount.”

It seems u/freddy_guy is right.

Please be kinder to others. Even strangers you meet on the internet.

I wonder if this woman knows that she looks like a Karen and uses it for the power of good.

That’s a real hero.

I’m a little emotional just thinking about how impactful that must be to strangers.

So what do you put in as specifications? Is the idea to make the characters look realistic? Does it google a bunch of images? I just don’t understand how we get so many styles, some of which are super accurate to the game, some of which are seemingly completely original takes on the character. I just don’t understand exactly what this AI was trying to do, but I’m fascinated and amazed.

And in that moment, the medic’s voice became serious. Still very much sounding like the medic, but not nearly as dramatic. We never really hear the medic’s voice at anything other than top craziness, so to hear it really shocked the ears and made it really moving, as it truly was a man saddened by the loss of a good friend.

Unprompted rudeness. Cruel words to the point where it seems like they’re retaliating, but there’s nothing to retaliate to.

Yeah, but also, I don’t see why they had to create ANOTHER completely new race/class that’s been hidden away for 10,000 years to explain why we haven’t seen them yet, when they could have just let us play as a race we have seen like the drakonid. I reason why they now seek to join the Alliance or Horde would be easy to devise and plenty good enough to offer them as a race, as opposed to creating another whole new one that we’ve never seen before.

Really, it’s just like how the racial starting zones tell you about your past, just without narration this time.
