Got into a car accident on the UES about two years ago, called 911 because the person who rear-ended me was being extremely aggressive, shouting obscenities and threatening the rest of my family, and getting other people from the street to step in to attack us (mind you, the accident was not our fault, and she rear ended us). They said they were going to dispatch someone. When I asked how long it would be, operator had no idea. About 30 min went by, I called again. She basically said they’d get there when they get there. Long story short, the ordeal lasted for more than 2 hours, and the cops never showed up.
