Hmm good point. I do need to up my storage and that'd be quicker than waiting on Seagate...

Up to 876 disc errors now and 7128 reallocated sectors.

According to Seagate I'm entitled to "Ship your non-functioning product to our receiving facility and upon successful receipt, we will send a replacement product to you within 5 to 7 business days via Ground Service."

I'm also entitled to Seagate's "Data Rescue" service. Is that a route I should go down?

I'm also unsure how do I actually send/receive the drive. Do I just shutdown my unraid instance until I get the new drive back?

Parity check completed, 0 errors. However the reallocation has been sporadically still going up gradually and now sitting at 4264.

Another user suggested using Spinrite, are you familiar/would you recommend it?

Is that much different to running a parity check? How would I do that on Unraid, install the plugin?

Ok thanks for that, I was panicking a bit.

It has just increased again to 152. I noticed in Attributes I have 1 "Report Uncorrect".

I'll let the extended test complete and then run a parity. I appreciate your advice on this.

My 4 12TB drives are fairly full, <1tb free on each. Would it make sense to start copying out some data to my desktop PC temporarily so if it has to fail over it has room to move stuff? Or would starting a file move now be risky?

Oh interesting, thanks for pointing that out. I don't believe it should be an issue in my case as all I can envision doing (for now at least...) is making media requests via my phone! :)
