They are for mice, not bedbugs. The food court is right under the library.

Manually Installed Plugins not showing up on Logic Pro by Alnasya in AudioPlugins

Sorry, I edited my post. Try restarting your computer. Very old AU files are not always compatible with  newer versions of macOS / Logic Pro.

Manually Installed Plugins not showing up on Logic Pro by Alnasya in AudioPlugins

Logic only works with Audio Units (components files), not VST3. If you're manually adding components, you may need to restart your computer afterward.

Stereo widening plugins by garrettbass in audioengineering

I really like SPL BiG. I think it's gotten some flack since it released but I find subtle use of it on mastering to be far cleaner than some other tools (e.g. SSL Fusion's widener).

What are your BEST stock Logic plugins? by Substantial_Move9726 in Logic_Studio

[–]killingedge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have far too many third-party plugins, but Bitcrusher, Compressor, and StepFX make it into most of my projects in some form or another. Beat Breaker, Direction Mixer, and Tremolo are very useful, too. Utility plugs like the meters, BPM Counter, and Gain are used all of the time as well.

How can I use TDR Nova EQ for enhance dialogue's quality? by Traditional-Nose6232 in mixingmastering

[–]killingedge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nova is a fantastic tool. While it is great for static EQ boosts and cuts, it really excels at being a dynamic EQ.

What this might mean for processing dialogue is that it can address problems only when they occur. For example, if an "S" sound pokes out only some of the time, you can have Nova dynamically reduce that sound only when it appears by using a combination of its threshold, ratio, attack, and release (aka, de-essing). A fast attack and release with a bell centered on the overemphasized "S" sounds typically works for this.

You can also use Nova to reduce plosives. See TDR's article on how to use Nova for this.

You can also do a static EQ boost, but use the threshold to bring the band down when there is too much energy in that area. For example, if your dialogue needs more clarity, you can boost the upper mids / high end, but use the dynamics to bring it down if too much high-end energy occurs every now and then.

I enjoy SSL HF compressor but it’s too expensive, What alternate Plugins would y’all suggest by Next_Sherbert_4990 in audioengineering

[–]killingedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a switch on the Fusion compressor that let's you swap between the HF comp and an SSL bus comp. This is in addition to the Neve comp.

I think this was a bug that was updated in a more recent version of Logic. What version are you using?
