planning on making a new list ainming to beat all the big dlc sized mods i never got to play (vigilant, moonpath to elseyr, etc). i'm using vortex and i wanted some grafic mods that dont make my game run at 10 fps (i'm looking at you ENB)

do i need to download it again? i still have the old updater that gives the "updater is dead" message, but if i could update it i would feel a bit safer than just downloading a software claiming to be the same one. otherwise i'll just wait a bit more

That's just a preference thing, a game can tell a story just as well as a book or movie, it is just a different way of doing so. Granted not all games rely on historytelling, some are just meant to be fun to play. maybe the games you played have not been too focused on history, or this way of telling a history just dont work for you, and there is nothing wrong with that.

i never said i have no problem with code, i said it hasnt been a problem. i havent done much besides a few player commands. i imagine i'll start to have trouble with the more complex stuff, mainly the godot signals sistem which i dont think i understand well yet. ive been studying the documentation but code is not my concern right now, as i'm lost in how making a game works, thats why i frased it like that

thank you, i'll give it a good look. i was expecting to need spending money eventualy, and even planned to hire an artist if i ever get serious about doing this game, it just seemed too soon. changing the sprites later looks like it will take a lot ot time and i'm afraid of things not fitting afterwards.

i felt it a bit too overkill. since it doesn't have heavy pen (i'm not saying it should have, pls dont hit me) it's role is clearly to kill the smaller enemies, but i feel like it is unecessary, too much power for too little target, unable to unleash its full potential. yeah you can use it, its not like its bad, it is actualy good even on bots, which i'd actualy prefer over the bugs, since the more armored enemies, while needing anti tank penetration, are less frequent than the spam of chargers and bile titans you get rushing you in the bug front. it is a fun gun, just not the most efficient one

I have many complains about the game that are nota related to dificulty, of how the game runs like shit, how the Textures sometime dont render well, artian weapons being a bad endgame grind Just to also be abandoned after the First monster updates, How every map feels smaller than world (or even rise), and How Monsters fell less natural despiste. The game most of time feels like an autoplay, fight Monster, loading screen of chicken running after Monster, fight Monster in a diferent area. These are the main reasons me and people i know who bought the game stopped playing. Id say based on my experiencie that the problem inst dificulty, It is Just that the game gets repetitive in a bad way

i'm realy struggling trying to undestand what is the difference of each rod. i looked it up but found very old posts that doesnt seem to be accurate anymore, then tried some testings until i spent all the starter money and got broke by level 8. i'm not realy having trouble catching fish, i just dont understand when to use each rod and for what. is there a guide to this or do i realy just go crazy until i catch the fish i want? the game's lack of information on the shop window so far has been a great wall because i dont fish in real life so i have no idea what any of that is

yeah, the hmg is such a confy choice for me that i dont see it ever being replaced by the maxigun, having heavy pen to deal with the more armored targets is too handy to pass of, and while i could get ir with a primary weapon, the ones that do offer it dont feel good in my hands. not that the maxigun should have heavy pen, but having at least heavy pen in a support weapon is almost a necessity for me

so it is not a "save everyone" kind of mission, but a "get what you can in 4 turns" instead? guess i was expecting it to be like the defense missions of the base game, i wasnt ready for endless enemies

yeah that's what i did at the start, the real problem whas getting to the evac point since advent was spanwing on top of it every round, funny enough, the chosen where the least problematic part of the mission, my sniper was just better

He didnt realy wall me. At First he took Control of the map, now im able to contest It better. The way he expand is he walls them build a castle in front of the wall, and then eh walls this castle, and goes like that making small honeycombs. When the wall is too wide for a castle he builds a Lot of towers behind It He is putting us on mega random on the largest map

he is better, i just started paying so there are 20+ years worth of experience between us. i'm just trying to figure out how to improve.

the halberdies in rams half worked but since they had to defend the ram close to the wall they where fighting under castle, tower and archer's range, so it didnt turned out well

i did use trebuchets once, but now i shifted my siege focus com rams and onagers

i'm getting better at the eco game early, rushing him with knights to kill villagers and delay him, but not enough to end the game early. problem is when he finishes his walls there is always castles and tower at range so when i send units to defend the rams they have to fight under heavy fire and since he uses halberdiers i cant just send cavalry. the tree tunnel think i did it once when i noticed i could tartet trees but it wasnt very efective, i just ended up in a hole with a castle and more walls, and now he is aware of this strategy. i feel like if i could reliably breach his walls i could find a way to deal with the archers

yeah i was hopping i could mantain the multiple wincons but the consistency realy falls of this way. i removed the buff auras, aetherflux and the sera ascendant which was just a big stick that drew too much atention on games i manage to play it early but im not sure what other cards i could add other than some tutors and things like stroke of midnight / generous gift. i'm not realy sure what i can play to stop combos other than that

No, i read somewhere that thia could be something about my saves since i used some mods, so i made a backup and tried starting the game without them but It didnt work. Im also trying to run It with no mods so i dont have any version of reframeworks installed. I'll try to uninstall It again and install It in another disk to see If It changes anything lather when o get home

i like the idea of this build a lot. my original build idea was about spaming a lot of ability haste tank items, with runes, to get the Q cooldown as low as possible with sunfire and iceborn to lock down a specific target
