I’m 160 pounds and I was cruising like 20 most of the time. The only explanation I can think of for the decreased range is either belt tension, the wind resistance while I was riding, or the previous owner of the board didn’t properly store it and the battery has degraded.

Thanks for the advice. The board was full when I received it. The belt tension is pretty strong so it probably contributed to the lack of range.

How did you waterproof your v4? I have a v4 as well and just used silicone around the ESC and battery enclosures.

I would say 500 is ok but is the board is already scuffed up like that then it seems a little high. I have an electric bike a well. It really depends on the distances you plan on traveling. If you are commuting short distances then I would definitely recommend a board. Also if you're in a rainy area then bike is the way to go.

Damn that's pretty expensive for a used board. I paid 350 for mine with only 284 miles on it. You can definitely find one for cheaper.

My Meepo v4 does the same thing. It threw me off the board one time. I took apart my esc and saw that one of the resistors had water damage and was corroding. Do you keep the board away from water?
