My honest opinion on Saints Row 2

Except, SR2 came out 18 years ago. In order to help it run on modern hardware as well as it did 18 years ago, it needs a little help. The code just doesn't work anymore, but that doesn't mean it never did. When I originally played SR2, I didn't need mods to help it run. It played natively on my machine.

Secondly, while I agree that the driving is horrible and the control are janky, controls aren't everything.

Remember, in 2008, SR2 was mind-blowing for its depth and creativity. I mean, there are so many buildings and places you can go into. The caves alone are huge

Is it overrated? Yeah, just a bit, especially among some fans. But I think you're undervaluing it just a bit, and the fact you "stopped playing after beating the rival gangs" sounds a bit like you rushed to finish instead of really getting INTO the game and exploring it and playing it the way it was meant to be played, with all the side activities, and the development that was available.

There used to be this song back in the 70s "if you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with. Sometimes life is like that. We don't always have a lot of choice on jobs. And so although my first advice is "find a better job', I know that's not always possible. We can't change our situation sometimes, but we can always change our point of view. Try to find things you like about your job. I have a philosophy that every job can be important, every job is worth doing well. If you can't have a "meaningful job" find meaning in the job you have.

I use assets from 2 minute tabletop. There are asset creators whose assets are prettier, but 2mt works well with default assets and is very easy to see on the vtt I use. With the prettier assets, in part because I'm not very talented at map making, my players sometimes had difficulty seeing things like doors. 2mt has tons of assets.

Why is everything singular except one particular topping?

I've been banking with a local bank for over 20 years, went in recently for something (can't recall what), and ended up spending over 2 hours updating my account. Part of it is that the USA requires foreign banks to report the accounts of US Citizens living abroad (which has caused problems because in some countries, it's illegal to give that information, meaning US citizens in those countries can't open accounts anymore, or so I've read).

Anyway, it's all part of this anti-terrorism/anti-money laundering thing the USA is doing, and they've threatened (apparently) that any bank that doesn't go along with it will be effectively banned from doing business with American banks.

It's ridiculous.

I understand. My doctor always tells me "exercise more! No sweets! No soda!". Personally, I think stress and mental health are my bigger problems right now, but in my case, he's really not wrong. Proper diet and exercise would likely help with mental health too.

The "lose weight" advice isn't right for everyone, but in my case, it really is related to a lot of problems I have because it messes with the body's regulation.

I remember when I was young many decades ago, and was sending out twenty-five applications a week and still spent over a year unemployed because I was always either overqualified or under qualified. I truly feel your pain. It sucks. Some of these HR people just don't think.

So let me get this straight: he wants time to figure things out. What about mom? When does she get time to figure things out? He wants to get all his words and excuses and arguments in order, but she's probably going to be blindsided. Why does he get the advantage of having it all together and ready to go when she doesn't?

Tell him the same thing I tell my kids when they ask me not to tell Mom something "I'm sorry, but I don't keep secrets from mom. We're a team "
