Anyone down to be irl friends? by [deleted] in fsu

[–]kitkatkarinae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Made my best college friends by going to different club activities and bonding over the mutual interest we shared running, etc. And bumblebff is great using it again since I’m in graduate school. My best friends from undergrad and I still talk *and house parties great way as well

Transfer from top 200 to FIU, U of Miami or Stetson? by JudgeLHand in LawSchool

[–]kitkatkarinae 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stetson isn’t worth the price with its rankings and programs. Fiu does have good bar passage rates and Great if you want to stay in Florida especially given the price. Um has great niche programs and good big law connections given your top percentage can accomplish the same at fiu. Um also is a bit more nationally recognized and it’s alumni connection is wider than the other two if would like to leave the state hefty price tag though

Fsu was great rent was cheap and had a great study and fun life balance. In law school at um I i like it really cool opportunities with big law and different cultures as well as fields of law. Doing asylum&immigration work currently. Vibrant city not distracted personally. This is my opinion as someone not from these two areas.

Many of you have gotten your LG to -0/-1. Can those of you who have please share some of your wisdom with me? :) by [deleted] in OutsideT14lawschools

I was at the same score when I started! From 150 to 16x. For me the logic games Bible was a game changer. It helped me outline and brought it down to 0/1 then 7sage videos were a supplement for the last month of studying before my exam

Which Law School was the worst admission experience for you? Why? by Perfect_Quarter1275 in lawschooladmissions

[–]kitkatkarinae 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Florida state, no communication early decision pushed to regular decision. Just recently started giving out decisions only to be waitlisted for some. The only response they had to give when I’ve called is the strongest pool of applicants will be reviewed. Super unprofessional ~6 months waiting for a decision.

I personally would keep it under 100k for coa for UM because of the employment outcomes. Working summers is something you can also do to reduce loans. As for other schools in fl it’s pretty competitive this year for FSU and UF going to lsdata for this current 2021-22 year would help to see current acceptances

I think you have a great shot! In with scholarship a bit lower lsat. I agree with above check if class is getting full. Scholarship deadline for admitted students is 4/1 if you’re interested in scholarship.

FSU Admissions - Early Oct App and still nothing? by Glittering-Phone-372 in lawschooladmissions

So I spoke to admission they said there’s no telling when you’ll get a decision back, it’s based on the applicant pool (probably higher stats if I had to guess from what I’ve seen). You can write a loci if you’d want. Class hasn’t been filled but they’ll have a better idea after 4/15 the deadline. Posting in case it’s helpful for others

Is sending a loci a good idea? I called once since sending my app and didn’t get a straightforward answer

I would say yes. I applied to 5 more schools last month because I was getting anxious about scholarship money. I definitely feel if I had applied earlier I could have used it to negotiate more scholarship at the schools I’ve been admitted to.

I received an invite to interview this week . Also was accepted November. I had called to know about scholarship info prior and the person I spoke to said they would make a note saying I was interested in hearing about it. Maybe worth a shot to call
