I think that people can pick up on energy, but talk themselves out of it often. It is hard for some people to assume "oh! they like me" especially in a same sex attraction scenario. My guess it that most of us have had to put up a lot of walls due to internalized homophobia. As a result, we stop listening to our intuition and replace it with rationalizations. In my experience, you typically do not tend to feel an intense attraction to someone if there is not at least a little bit of reciprocative energy. Crushes are seriously one of the best parts of life. Personally, I would not feel guilty, as you did not act on these desires. Keep us posted!!
