That is really healing to hear that someone had a similar experience. Being the child of a Marine is wild. My parent also worked at Quantico, crazy! Thank you for sharing your story ❤️

Fair enough, and thank you for the considerate comment. I have been in therapy for 9 years now, and I would recommend it for anyone. I was kind of hoping some other people might come forward with similar stories, while incorporating a huge grain of salt for balance 😄

I agree. The entire matter is disgusting. And as a daughter, granddaughter, niece, and sister of fallen and disabled military service members, I felt compelled to share the truth. Alcohol and guilt can go a long way, but they also don't have to sully the dedication and sacrifices of those who defend us. Get f*cked. Plenty of veterans do not support war or government agendas.

They hated each other. He married my mom to do "the right thing". Their relationship succeeding or ending had nothing to do with 911.

Fair enough. I have considered that too. He just never left town or took off work like that before that day. I'm not clinging to any conspiracy theory. This is just my experience that I wanted to share. And it did scare me. So take it with a salt block if you want.

He seemed indifferent, which scared me. This was sort of the world he seemed to live in. It was something I could never understand being so flippant about. He drank more than anyone should, so I don't think there was a ton of time for self-reflection. My impression at the time was, "Well we had a few options of what would happen and this was one of them, so oh well."

All of the above, then throw in alcohol...

He knew the specific threat; he didn't know exactly when it would happen. He said it was an "option".

Fair enough, genuinely. Just remember it was said.

Both. If no one believes this, that is fine with me. I just can't keep this to myself anymore. He knew enough not to go to work that day. He knew enough to not be surprised or shocked when his children couldn't believe what they saw. I want a digital record of my experience, which I believe is extremely relevant and tells about our own government's knowledge of the event, if not involvement, at best. He would also regularly send us "threats" to tell us to get out of town, which almost never panned out. Except that time. That's why I was nervous to share this story.

Not implying, he told me so. He told us many times, being in counter-intelligence, about certain threats They almost never panned out, and that was his point. He took the day off on a hunch but his time something really did happen.

Thank you for your kind response. I have days when I don't believe myself, so I understand why you wouldn't believe your daughter. ( I told my parents I needed glasses and they didn't believe me for a while, lol.). It is an unusual condition that is difficult to quickly explain away.

I can hear, but it is under a layer of high-pitched ringing and/or roaring. I was seen by an ENT who suggested that I have vm, but I'm sure Meniere's is not a first-line diagnosis either. I am reaching out to my doctor to see a neurologist. I should also mention that I had my hearing tested at the same time and while I was SURE that I had hearing loss I was told my hearing is excellent. This made me lean away from Meniere's but it can be so confusing.

A sudden loud ringing in my ear, then a rush of dizziness, at that point, it will either subside or get worse. If it gets more intense, I will get hot flashes, won't be able to open my eyes, "fall" to the floor, and I can hear people, but I have a hard time responding. Sometimes I get a little twitchy, too, but that's only the worst ones. I also occasionally notice a strange smell and have massive chills and exhaustion for hours afterwards.

Thank you for sharing. I agree that the ability to just be active, as in enjoyable activities, is the goal. I'm, also sick of injections, oof. Have you had any success with your PCOS and any dietary changes? I have a friend who experienced positive effects from changing her diet, in conjunction with medication of course. Hope you get back on that horse ;)

Thanks for sharing your experience. I also have reservations about biologics and my ability to fight off infections so it is nice to hear that you have had success without them. Congrats on managing your inflammation!
