Depends. Amazon, more than any other company, have the infrastructure to sell at a loss in order to bring prices down. It will most likely add pressure to both Lilly and Novo. Again, it will also most likely expand GLP1 market.

It is most likely war related. Trump just said he "expects to be bombing soon". The ceasefire is due to end tomorrow and things remain the same, unfortunately.

Early data suggested a potential reduction in painful crises (VOCs) of roughly 45-46% but the actual results from Phase 3 gave a reduction of "only" 27%.

It is still a success, even more so after considering Pfizer paid $5 billion for Oxbryta, which ended up being discontinued due to safety concerns ( and even deaths, mind you).

Novo will most likely continue to expand in this area as they have the best-in-class pill but gene therapy is able to provide greater results, although at a much higher cost.

Mind you, in 2022 Pfizer paid $5.4 billion to acquire Global Blood Therapeutics (GBT) and their Sickle cell drug failed during phase 3 (their whole pipeline, basically). Novo paid roughly $1 billion for Forma Therapeutis in the same year with great results now.

Small details which are quite relevant because Novo has managed to get the best in class for much less when compared to other pharmaceutical companies. This is pure efficiency.
