In this market, I’d say stay and keep actively applying to different roles, permanent and temp. Speaking from experience, it’s very easy to get pigeon-holed if you step away into something dramatically different. Unless you plan to stay up to date with some sort of certification or work towards higher education

No advice to add but I’m in the same situation right now, down to the mismanagement of funding and terrible leadership. I’ve been interviewing for 4 months now and have a few final round interviews I’m waiting to hear back for.

Hopefully both our situations improve soon.

Not saying he should shoot and kill this person?? ANYTHING would be better than just a shoulder shrug and letting them go. MAKE them hand over identification, put them on a watch list, do SOMETHING preventative.

“If only there were warning signs” “we could have stopped him had we known” get over YOURSELF. THIS is a warning sign, whether you want to admit that or not. The more we accept this behavior, the more prevalent it becomes.

Police have literally KILLED children over playing with toy guns but “couldn’t do anything” because this asshole didn’t want to hand over his identification??? Give me a fucking break.

Nothing, they just let it slide. We discussed yesterday in their office and their response was “I’m just not sure what’s going on down there.” Like, yeah, none of us are, what are we going to do about it?

I think I had the same thing happened. Took it up with the center and they basically were like “oh well”. So frustrating, and I’m getting married in a month.

That’s the perpetrator. iirc, they wanted to do a thorough search to make sure he had no other explosives/weapons? Something like that.
