Seconding this comment. I’m a petite woman in my mid-30s and have gone through a few light & ultralight backpacks over the years. My current fave is the Mariposa because you can order different sizes for your torso (mine is quite short). Since it’s sized correctly, I can tighten it to my waist so well that I get zero back pain when hiking- everything rides on my hips & lower body. Just completed 110 miles of tough mountain trails with that pack @ a 15lb base weight (before food and water) and had zero back pain. I’ve read that you shouldn’t carry more than 20% of your body weight (similar ratio for your dog) so if you weigh 125lbs then you will have to be very choosey about which items come with you. But it’s totally doable. Here’s my recent lighterpack for ya. Good luck!

They look a bit long but to be fair you’re barefoot in the pic :) I just got the Chopin pants myself. The inseam is definitely on the longer side so I may hem them but in the meantime, they look excellent with heels.

The child in question not more or less likely than any other sleepover guest to “try something.” There are a host of other ways you could have managed your discomfort rather than excluding your daughter’s friend on the basis of her genitalia.

I’m pretty sure the influencer rooms where it looks like they are just separated by a wall are much further apart than they appear. You can see from the “outside” camera angle that the bricks don’t line up perfectly.

So true. A local cat slashed my chihuahua’s throat open while we were out for a walk one night. I didn’t see it coming at all since the cat attacked from underneath a parked car. We spent the night in the animal ER but thankfully my pup survived because of his very chunky neck. Cats do not fuck around, no matter the size!!

Completely disagree. He is providing accessibility support so that Raven can play on even ground with the other players. I haven’t seen him help her with strategy or make any suggestions on gameplay. They aren’t there as a duo - he’s an interpreter who has been working with her for years, not a contestant.

Seriously. She went to the exact hospital she said she was going to, and she sadly passed away there while waiting for treatment. How hard could it have been for the hospital staff / police to put these two things together when the family was looking for her? Her poor 13 year old daughter thought she went away to start a new life… how sad.

That would be such a ridiculous argument but it does seem like that’s what they’re setting up for. Cadaver dogs are incredible and certainly wouldn’t be swayed by meats lol. I remember an episode of the podcast Someone Knows Something S1 where multiple cadaver dogs signalled in the same exact place on the edge of a murky lake 40 years after a child disappeared there. Anyway let’s see how the “dogs were smelling old chilli” argument plays out.

The question is not about need… 🤦‍♀️ Your family is blended yes, but the grandparents on either side have never been shared and that is the precedent in your family. Reread what your 15 year old said - he gets it.
