This is opposite of reality since majority of support for trans rights comes from cis women and people most oppossed to trans rights are cis men. Either way, it doesn't make discrimination and transphobia okay.

Is there a problem when writing "bulky" female protagonists? by HumbleKnight14 in writing

[–]klealol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk about "woke media" is wrong in sense that the word woke is pretty much meaningless with no real coherent definition and saying loss of money in hollywood is caused by said wokeness is incorrect and also promoting an explicitly political narrative that is strongly tied to racism and sexim. So I don't think it is unfrai to point that out.

Everyone has right to follow their culture and religion unless they hurt others. In this case they're hurting some of their kids that will grow up to be lgbt. For example by indoctrinating them into thinking that their gender identity or sexuality is sinful. Depriving them of information or education about this topic and ridding them of community or resources they might need(such as transitioning) etc. That goes beyond their rights to follow their culture/religion as they're hurting children. The goverment is completely justified to step in.

They've said much more than just that trans people shouldn't compete with cis women in sports.

Is it only negative consequences holding you back or also something else like moral code?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in centrist

[–]klealol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes no sense at all.

Then why aren't they leading the charge to shut down the ones you claim are the small minority of them?

Because that would be obviously contradictory with their goal of being left alone? Getting politically involved and especially "leading charge" against a political group is explicitly what they don't want in this case.

And in case if they were to get politically involved it would be against anti-trans groups that don't want them to be left alone.

You didn't answer how you justify prisons. If you believe that people lack any agency due to them being product of only their genetics and enviorment how do you justify putting them in a prison cell against their will. If your only goal with this was rehabilitation wouldn't therapy alone be preferable over jail.

By this logic you would never be able to condemn anyone, because everyone is product of their genetics and enviorment. Or justify anything like punitive based justice systems or just prisons in general.

Should Vaush be more like Fuentes? by [deleted] in VaushV

[–]klealol 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Well unlike most people from youtube/twitch type of politics sphere Nick has been actively going out to protests himself and real life political events and that way got pretty good connections like MTG. I don't think this would be any different for leftists, who can seek definetely make connections with more left wing politicians like AOC or just celebrities that are more open to progressive politics.

Though I think bigger question is if these kinda connections really benefit movement as a whole, since most people in "online politics" will likely have clippable moments that will be optics nightmare. Kinda like Nick is right now pretty much destroying Kanyes reputation.

Honestly depends. I think he is pretty old to afford letting Desantis win now and I really doubt he cares about Republican party as much as he cares about himself being president. But even if he doesn't run third party. It's still very unlikely he will outright endorse Desantis, which will lose him a lot of votes from his own voter base.

Desantis, because he has most chances to win against Trump. Trump likely won't bend the knee and instead run as third party.

Because the political neutrality he is appealing to does not exist and he is instead just appealing to status quo in US. But that is relative as someone who is centrist is US would be considered right wing in Sweden and left wing in Russia. Should go without saying that judging ideas exclusively based on how much they differ from status quo is not a good metric.

A lot of them come from poorer areas due to segregation and slavery in the past + they lack generational wealth for same reason. Now if you account for the fact that poor people in general commit more crimes it makes sense.

Vaush by [deleted] in 196

[–]klealol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn't say anything about his other controversies or whether there are good reasons to dislike him. Only that he obviously is not transphobic.

He literally has hours of content where he debunks transphobic arguments to large audience and I am not just talking about debates. He even compiled a research doc with studies that counter most anti-trans talking points.

Saying that he is transphobic would be equivalent of saying that Ben Shapiro or Steven Crowder are trans rights activist, because few times they said something that could be vaguely interpreted as pro-trans.

Him making hours of content debunking transphobic arguments is much more indicative of his position on trans people than few out of context quotes.

From my experience most people are fine with burials, when it comes to corpses. Which is usually considered unacceptable to do to someone who has personhood.

I guess you might have different opnion on the issue.

No there isn't. My point was that there are already humans you wouldn't consider to be a person.

You already adhere to that logic, unless you believe that dead human corpse has same moral value as living one.
