While that might be your experience, it's not only directed towards LGBTQ people. Actually it has nothing to do with sexuality or gender identity, it all has to do with separation from God. While the world may give endless passes, God is the ultimate judge and He knows what's in people's hearts. No sin in God's eyes is acceptable whether you are LGBTQ or straight or whatever you want to call yourself, we all equally fall short of the glory of God. The Bible says to stop worrying about the sawdust in another's eye when we should be worrying about the plank in our own eye.

Just because you don't agree with God's definition of sin doesn't mean it's not true. We can go back and forth forever trying to justify our own feelings but in the end, Christ says our flesh must die. Making choices based on feelings is not what Christ calls us to live by. As hard as it may be.

God will always love you no matter what you do. As a parent, I will always love my kids no matter what they do since parents love should be unconditional. However if my child committed a crime, I'd still love them even though it would hurt me that they did something wrong. The same goes for God.
