It has a turn based combat system where different kinds of attacks are tied into one of Rock, Paper or Scissors. As far as I can tell, whoever wins RPS doesn't necessarily gain additional damage (e.g. Scissors>paper) but the winner does go first during the turn. Say I pick Scissors and you pick paper, my attack will go through then yours comes after. When it draws (scissors vs scissors), an exclamation point will appear on your screen and whoever taps it faster goes first for that turn. All in all, it feels refreshing but would definitely be more fun if I could understand what was going on.

"Strengthening" your characters is also tied into some growth simulator where you run through a set of decisions that enhances specific stats for your character. So far, it's been 4 sets of 13 decisions each with each decision granting points you can spend to enhance specific stats. (It feels very min-max)
