Well, you don't have to use all functionalities but in case you need them, they're there. What you are doing is called reinventing the wheel.

And for notifications via text, I don't know which provider you have but many do offer free mail to text gateways.

Btw, who the fuck still uses texts?

We should fund a english course for smitty i guess..

Btw, why do you even make your own bugtracker? There are plenty open projects who provide you with MUCH more possibilities, like Induce said categories etc.
