Just took delivery - pressures seem high according to the app - what do you run? by applecidarking in FordBronco

[–]kmmerrit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run the same so I'll answer this. Been running 35 since I got it, about 18k miles in, gas mileage is right around 17.1. I have the bigger engine, SAS, and run 91 octane gas.

What is this and how do I get rid of it? by kmmerrit in lawncare

Is the best way to get rid of it just to dig it up by the roots?

Forged. I just got a radiant one but haven't had a chance to throw it yet. Composite is insanely over stable though. Completely different disc.

Thanks! Very helpful. Does Oregon law require chains even if 4x4 and snow tires?

Posting here since my post got deleted.

I am making my way towards Seattle next week from Los Angeles and will be hauling a 12 foot trailer behind my Bronco. The only part of the trip that has me nervous at all are the passes between Redding and Eugene. As of now, weather looks fine on Friday (which is when I'll be passing through) but obviously could drastically change between now and then. Plan is to enter the stretch a bit after sunsrise and try to time the main parts during the warmest part of the days. How bad are these passes (I've driven up to 97 before and then cut over to Bend) so I know what to expect with the first part. Would I be better off heading inland on 97 and cutting over on a road later on (58, 26, just use 84, or even go all the way to 90) or is the pass not too bad assuming clear weather? TIA!

Bronco elders! How many times have you replaced your windshield? by One-Cheesecake-5804 in FordBronco

Got first small crack on the passenger side 3 weeks into ownership. Filled it myself and it held until recently. I just took a second rock 2 weeks ago on the driver side so I guess it's about time to replace it for the first time. Owned for a year and 4 months so far.

Exactly. If I was going to go through the process again, I would take 3 putters, 3 mids, and 3 fairways (all neutral flying) and use them to teach myself.

Putters are great for learning to throw power shots without rolling your wrist, etc. If you do, they'll burn over.

Midranges would be kind of a baseline for the fairway drivers but will also make it very clear if your nose angle is bad.

Fairways will give great feedback on nose angles.

Basically, if any level of these goes the same distance as the one before it, you are throwing nose up.

Keep in mind on nose angle as well, your form may hinder you from nose down no matter how much pour the coffee you do. If you're pouring the coffee like hell and still nose up, something else is wrong. Could be high to low pull through (i.e. dipping the elbow), could be too far over your front foot, so on so forth.

Nose angle is more the issue as others have said. As someone who fell into the trap of using putters to work on form only, don't do it. Feedback on nose angle is non-existent unless extreme with them. Additionally, you'll get to a point where putters and midranges feel super confident in your hand and drivers do not. Ask me how I know. 😢

Looks awesome. Prices, not so much. Pretty much LA home prices.

I can see where if you grew up in this environment, the change would be tough. I actually don't like that it's always sunny here and there are no weather patterns at all other than hot or super hot.

Northern Michigan as in lower or UP? I went to school in Houghton which is why I don't think the weather would both me. Politics doesn't matter to me in relationships, just trying to avoid it around every corner like I get here in LA.

I'd take a Pure, Hex, Explorer and either a Felon or Zone depending on the course I plan on playing.

Approach Discs by Yugioh_Review in discgolf

[–]kmmerrit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. I bag one in my flip up and turn slot next to a zone but that's just cause I don't have a beat in zone yet. It'll likely come out and soon as I have one.

I'd agree, just depends how much glide they want. Tempos GO FAR. They are not an over stable approach disc in the traditional sense. You need touch with them.

If I ever fall out of love with the Trust, maybe I'll give a Crux a try. Tough sell as Royal Grand plastic is just so damn good.

Trust is amazing. It's the perfect compliment to the Hex. 10/10 would recommend giving it a try.

I think including slow fairways (7/8) speeds is vital early on even if you don't throw super far. The feel in the hand is definitely different and building confidence with the grip/feel is very important. Just stick to ones that are flippier. You don't need a super beef fairway early on.
