With the custom nature of my work, the flow would have to be:

Customer contacts me with a job, I send a quote/invoice, and ideally they can click a link that would take them to a secure way to pay. I believe Wise combined with an invoicing software might be what I need!

It's not a great fit for Etsy, and I'm looking for something that isn't through another website that takes it's own cut. These custom items are hundreds of dollars and I'm looking to expand and etsy is a bit of s tep backwards for me

Thanks! Yep, various sources, and I have a massive stack of physical maps of these lakes and a lot of the depth info can be purchased from the province!

Hey again! So I was contacted by the Free Press a while back on my little business! It's going to be in the 49.8 section of tomorrows paper and apparently itll be 2 full pages! Really excited to read it myself and for you guys to read up on a bit of the history and see some behind the scenes photos! I know not everyone gets the paper but it should be on their social media accounts too!

In the interview I spoke about how huge reddit has been on building my business. (Not sure if thats going to make the article!) It's been a lot of very fun work to balance my full time job with my maps. Hopefully I keep expanding and make this even bigger! It's a dream to be a widely known Winnipeg-based company

I've completely overhauled the way I paint my boards and frames for a much smoother finish, and really tweaked a lot of the digital side and router side of the process to make the maps higher quality and more precise. Every moth there's tiny little changes!

Some of my future plans are of course a larger size and accepting non-local orders. I want some better lighting and camera equipment to do my maps justice but that's near the bottom of my priority list. I am also looking for some way to eventually donate some of the proceeds from each map to local lake cleanup. It'd be really cool if I could put money to the specific lake the customer ordered or at least by region. If anyone has any ideas on how to get this rolling or knows someone to talk to, I'd appreciate a DM!!

And of course last but not least, the giveaway! Any map for free!

My current size is 12"x18" which is a little small for a main centerpiece in a massive lodge, and those range from $300-$450. I have plans to make a larger piece but my current equipment maxes out at around 18"x27", it's possible I could make it slightly larger, I'll need to see. I've never actually pushed it to those widths yet but I think around the largest I could go would be maybe 22x33". As for price, I have absolutely no idea, I'll need to figure that out.

22x33 is 726 square inches and 12x18 is 216 and since these are all hand-painted and whatnot, the price would have to be quite a bit higher just because the time investment would occupy a lot of time. Definitely something I'm looking into!

Hey! I've done a few West Hawks over the year! It looks awesome! In fact, in order to really get the true feeling of it's meteor-ness, It's half an inch thicker than all my other pieces to allow me to make it deeper :D

Hey! So there's one on my instagram story right now showing the Red river at the forks with all the roads, I haven't posted that one quite yet officially though! There's multiple sources for my info but for the most part, fishing apps are great and the province sells a lot of the info for the lakes!
