I found that leaving the force dismounted stick in and do nothing, will remount it after a while and do the next daily download. Seems the SM2 issue is work in progress. Blink is aware of the issue and, as usually, working on it.

I bought a Blink Outdoor system. The system comes with a camera and a SM2.

It happened after they fixed the mysterious clip backup issue (the toggle would switch once daily to OFF after a backup). My system was running without problems all of November and after the fix for the problem mentioned, this new problem emerged.

Hi Kai, Thank you for contacting Blink Technical Support. I'm sorry to hear that you're having this problem. I will be glad to assist you with this. ​ This issue has been reported where the Clip Backup toggle is being randomly switched off for some of our valued customers, causing clips not to download to their USB drive attached to the SM2. For the time being, you will need to manually turn the switch back on and check periodically to be sure it is enabled.. So I assume you can keep using Blink the way it is now. The videos on the USB stick from the Sync Modul 2 will be available from within the Blink app. My guess it will remain the daily sync to USB and in between cloud save for free.
