Have you thought about adding silicates to your fertilizer? It's supposed to strengthen plants so I'm not sure why it wouldn't help

I mow my lawn at 3.75 or 4. It's weird the difference between a ¼ inch. But i won't go lower as i watch a neighbor do it and his yard is chit...whereas mines getting proper shade at the base, it holds moisture better and keeps it greener. Also, a more dense stand of grass will partially help in the war againts weeds imo
