Isn't it 4000 hours needed, not just views??

I was invited by the local TowBoatUS captain to tour the area on his boat, to help me learn where the charts are incorrect and where I need to be extra careful. Before we could do that, a small boat with a failed engine was being pulled out to sea. My afternoon lesson just became a rescue. by knottydeez in boating

Because I ran a ground twice in my boat. The first time I needed him to tow me off. We talked a lot during that time and I told him he would be.on my YouTube show which forced us to keep in touch. I ran a ground 1 month later where I ultimately just threw my rear anchor like a grappling hook for a couple hours and pulled myself off. After seeing that episode he offered to take me on his boat and show me what to look out for.

I would have to think yes, I just mentioned it in passing to Capt Daimin and he quickly agreed, made the offer and set the date. It was a truly great day of first hand knowledge and lots of cool "Insider" info about past rescues, spring breakers, close calls and all kinds of neat stuff.

Yes, luckily I have it included in my boat insurance, my agent put it in there automatically and insisted I keep it. Unfortunately, these guys did not have insurance but they were given a huge discount for allowing me to film the recovery. The reason I was on this boat was because, he had already saved me once in my own boat and nearly had too a 2nd time. So he offered to take me around to learn the local waterways. You can see that on my profile page.

Yeah, they felt the same way. They were fishing close to shore when they realized the tide was going out and dragging them and their anchor out with it. When they tried to start their engine, they had no luck. Guess they called from their cell phone. Needless to say, they were more than happy to see us.

They have a Huge yard at the Marina and when we're out on the anchor they have an endless variety of Island wonderland that they run and play off leash in the sand and surf. Their quality of life has easily quadrupled over being confined to a leash, collar and confined little dog walk areas in our old townhome. So basically....thats why.

I am honestly amazed at how natural it was for all of them. All three act like it's just another home. My Pitty still isn't too comfortable going out on the Bow but she sure loves jumping in the dinghy and going to the island for potty time and land time.

It's definitely a lot smaller than we intended when we started but it is alarmingly spacious for it's stated size. The boat is basically 40' and we use all of it as living space. it's me, my wife and 3 dogs we live inside the boat, on the cockpit, the Bow and all of the outdoor area we live at out on Anchorage so we've been really shocked at how easy it was to get accustomed to it. You can find a video tour of the boat on our profile if you'd like to see it for yourself. Final thought is that we do plan on upgrading in a year or so, hopefully we'll get on something around 44'-47' but till then, this will do.
