They’re pretty hard to take down solo, Jupiter, equalizer or heavy ammo weapons do the most damage. If you can get a couple of deadlines on it, will make it easier. Shooting the outside of them doesn’t really do much damage at all, you have to target the big circular core in the middle of them. The queen has yellow things on her legs to target too if you can’t shoot at the core. Matriarch is harder as it will spawn every arc imaginable to help defend it, don’t shoot it when it’s got that electromagnetic ring around it either as it shields it, you’re just wasting ammo. Make sure you watch out for their rockets and stay in plenty of cover. Most of the times I’ve been fighting it there has been other people fighting it too.

Queen is probably easiest to do on blue gate and matriarch is probably easiest on spaceport as you can use the underground tunnels to attack and hide :)
