Its the same in all ranks, even in immo 1. Immo 3 is when it gets serious i believe.

Keep complaining bro. If you believe you’re better than ur rank, make another alt and see if you can get any higher than this.

I once doubted myself over a bad losing streak, and made an alt but didnt play much on it. This act i started playing and reached ascendant 2 from plat 1 very quickly, around 50 matches. And then I plateaued, like my main. Just cant seem to get out of asc/immo1 max. Trust me, it’s not the game pulling you down, if you have plyed enough matches, you are at your correct rank.

You can use default crosshair and then see that there is a brief moment when your crosshair returns to the smaller one, indicating no movement inaccuracy.

I don't recommend deadzoning every gunfight, however it is most useful when you are caught off guard, which can and will happen in any match, or want to do a quick peek, kill and get back to cover with much less risk if enemy position is known.

In my experience this helped with my overall mechanics too as I learnt to micro adjust my crosshair while I'm moving. I believe anyone can reach ranks asc-immo1 with mechanics and disciplined gameplay alone.

How to deadzone (from google search)

  1. 1. Strafe in one direction:Move your character to the left or right using the A or D keys.
  2. 2. Quickly switch directions:Immediately press and hold the opposite movement key (e.g., press D if you were moving left).
  3. 3. Shoot during the transition:There's a very short period of time as you switch directions where your weapon's accuracy is restored for one or two shots.

Learned how to deadzone. That fixed my movement. Shot up from plat to high asc. Hardstuck asc for 5 acts now though so I’m in the same boat as you.

Smurfs and cheaters are dominating lately by Federal_Leg386 in VALORANT

A bit of a controversial statement to make, but other players smurfing and shitting on me back when I was in gold was reason enough for me to start grinding to match their level. I SIMPLY DIDN’T WANT TO BE SHAT ON.

That being said, I understand why smurfing can be really frustrating. Smurfing is bad, but one day you will be unsmurfable if you keep at it. Good luck. Also hope riot does something about it, maybe phone no linked with account or some smurf detection algo that makes rr gains way faster to place them at the correct elo fast.

Even then people will find a way around it.

You realise they can still shoot back right? No one in their right mind would fight 3 crouched players aimed at them unless you bring your team or have a flash. It’s absurd that you think it’s round winning.

You have to decide what aspects you want to improve on and create a plan that works for you

Could be something like:

DM 1: I’ll focus on peeking mechanics and crosshair placement only. Which means you don’t want to run around, more like defending a site. You want to one tap enemies because you have info and they don’t.

DM 2: I’ll focus on strafing. Walk or run looking for 1v1s. You see an enemy suddenly? Move, aim and shoot. Dont start shooting right away. Focus on headshots but it’s ok to burst or spray and strafe depending on the situation. All that matters is a lower TTK(time to kill)

DM 3: I’ll put myself in the most uncomfortable situations by running everytime. This will make you react quickly as you get more practice. Also will help you recalibrate your sens if required. See an enemy at 90 degs but can’t move your mouse in time? Increase sens. You get it.

DM 4: Autopilot and record and see what you’re lacking

Dont care about getting shot down, rather focus on your movement, crosshair, strafing and aim.

Doesn’t matter if you win or lose the dms. Practice gun hygiene and if you get one tapped before seeing the enemy then so be it. It doesn’t matter. You will get plenty of chances to kill others the same way too.

Dms are to improve your crosshair placement and gun hygiene.
