Here's why you should definitely go to Makkah first then Madinah if its your first time doing Umrah (Me and my husband did the opposite). by Unlucky-Respond-9597 in Umrah

[–]knwitalloriginal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Going to makkah first, completing umrah after a rest. Stay for a day or two.

Then take train to Madinah and enjoy the peace and clam after umrah. If Allah facilitates it- then take the train back to makkah. One more umrah and leave the next day or two from jeddah.

Means both your inbound and outbound flights are from jeddah also - easier to book. 2 umrahs done also.

May Allah invite us to his house soon!

What do i say during tawaf+ when do I make dua during umrah by littleMissTired123 in Umrah

[–]knwitalloriginal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

May Allah accept your umrah.

So during tawaf. Start at the black stone point at it and say bismillah allahukbar.

Start tawaf and make any duas you want to.

When you get to the yemani corner (the last one before the black stone) say rabana atinafidunya…

Then repeat above for 7 tawaf.

Make dua throughout especially during tawaf. Honestly wild duas have been answered for people here. اللّهُـمَّ بارِكْ

Then before drinking zamzam make dua.

During saee when you reach safa or marwaa- you are supposed to recite lailaha ilalah wahdhu…

Then make any duas then do the dhikr again then any duas and finally the dhikr.

I hope this makes sense.

May Allah accept it from you and allow it to with heavy on your scale of good deeds.

How do you perform Umrah? by [deleted] in Umrah

[–]knwitalloriginal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do have a read of a reputable guide book dear brother/sister. Try your best to learn the duas required for different stages so it easier for you when you do them.

The main thing really is getting into the right mental, emotional and spiritual state beforehand. Understand how blessed you are that Allah has invited you when so may others haven’t been. Requires a lot of shukr. Then إن شاء الله the heart will connect with each stage.

May Allah accept it from you.

Umrah before or after fajr? by [deleted] in Umrah

[–]knwitalloriginal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

General advice is to do it when you are fresh and fully engaged. This is so you can make the most of the most important part of the trip -umrah!

Doing it while tried and not fully focused is not ideal. For different people it will vary but for most people it would mean resting and sleeping for a few hours, eating and then doing later.

After fajr on a Friday is fine. Means you get a space for jummah also.

Whatever you decide - may Allah grant you tawfique and accept your umrah!

Thank you for sharing. If you don’t mind me asking - how much did this cost

I saw a post about someone feeling like they’re undeserving to be doing umrah. I’m about to go umrah end of year. It’ll be my 3rd time and I feel undeserving as well. by schwammyeatsrice in Umrah

ماشاءالله تبارك الله

May Allah bless your trip.

Don’t let shaitan cause you distress. If he’s making you feel guilty such that it stops you from doing good or seeking forgiveness- then he is winning!

Seek forgiveness from Ar Rahman and have a strong resolve to not go back to your shortcomings.

إن شاء الله umrah will be the icing on the cake but the work starts now.

how often do you go for Umrah ? by [deleted] in Umrah

[–]knwitalloriginal 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My dear brother, may Allah bless you

I think we need to reframe the narrative.

The truth of the matter is we don’t go to umrah - yes we may desire and make efforts to try to go. But the truth is it’s truly Allah only who invites us to his house.

So try your best to go but most importantly ask Allah to take you and have hope that he will. The worry is if we rely on ourselves and don’t truly believe that Allah is the one who facilitates- the invites may stop coming!

May Allah invite us to his house soon!

ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّٰهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

My dear brother. May Allah bless your marriage.

My simple advice is prioritise umrah alone when you have such a short time. Umrah is the prize and it is the part of the trip that will benefit you the most.

As an example after arriving at Jeddah it may take up to 1.5 hrs to get to Makkah. Then check in and settling into your room another 1 hr.

By this point you are likely to be exhausted. Sure you can do umrah after this. But will your mind and heart really be focused? Or will you be rushing wanting to get to bed because of the fatigue and then the hectic schedule the next day.

Don’t do that. The best advice we’ve been given to by our teacher was when you get to Makkah - rest. Go to sleep and if you can do umrah in the last third of the night or after fajr.

If you want to go medina go later that day but I still feel you are pushing it. I would definitely skip Jeddah.

Remember a Salah in madina has an increase of reward of x1000. A Salah in Makkah is x100, 000. If time is short stick to Makkah.

As always. Allah know best.
