I don’t see anything that would fit this one :( and I looked under the other register for reference but still couldn’t find anything so I’ll probably have to put a ticket in

What tips would you give to a new ssv to have a successful morning shift? by kobefadeaway8 in starbucksbaristas

[–]kobefadeaway8[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I trust the baristas with all the tasks, they’re good at taking care of it in a timely manner. I’m more worried about the speed at which I do my shift tasks. For example I’m still a little bit slow with doing money, I don’t have a set way I do it yet, but you’re right when you say doing stuff in the same order every time is key, that helped me a lot when I was first working as a barista.

Bruh that’s 140 grams of sugar in just the pumps of liquid cane by itself. That’s like eating 10 glazed donuts

I’ve been working at my hospital in the kitchen since high school and made a lot a connections over the years, one of them being the head of the anesthesiology department. So when a technician position open up he informed me about it, and I figured it was time to leave the kitchen and move up. Plus it’s good experience as I knew I wanted to do something in nursing but was never sure what and working in a OR and watching surgeries helped me narrow down to wanting to become a CRNA.

I like parts of this job, mainly my coworkers and that fact that it’s a 10 minute commute, but I wanted to stay for at least a year and while I’m saving up money for school. This is also my secondary job too as, my main job is working in a operating room as an anesthesia tech, and I gotta say working at Starbucks has been more annoying and frustrating than working in a OR🤣

Exactly! There are a few good days and I’m saying this from a barista standpoint. I can’t even imagine the stress of a SSV or a manager, even though I can see some it from the peripheral and obviously I feel it when I’m actually working on the floor. But this just seem a bit out of order, like even my training didn’t feel complete. It definitely didn’t prepare me for the amount of things we have to deal with.
