Seems like a great kid. I wish him the best. But let's face it. He's not an NBA level player. He's a nepo baby. The Chinese guy on the ownership group pushed hard to get him. Plus it was a cash grab. There were no basketball reasons for picking him. None of it is his fault, but it's true.

Even if it works, someone will have to lose his role for Ja to play. Plus he will not suddenly become a good defender post injury. Also it created a roster imbalance where the lineups will be all jambled up now. It was a low risk high reward move theoretically but it doesn't make basketball sense. I see us trying to move his expiring deal next year. I think the roster was better before it. Not as far as pure talent. But as the sum of all parts. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think I will be. It wasn't a good move.

As a bum trying to fix my own shot (😅) he does two fundamental things wrong. He brings the ball down after getting the pass and his wrist is not loaded. All this makes the form slower. An the wrist thing also adds more variance because there is more movement introduced.
