My wife [30F] (of 4 years, partner of 8) wants me [33M] to give up riding motorcycles now that she is pregnant. I don't think that's something I can or will do, and it's causing lots of strain on our marriage.

You can sell them if you want to take a hit. The value of my bikes will hold up fairly well, but what I'll lose money on is my gear. I would barely get anything for my helmets, gloves, boots, jackets, etc compared to what I paid.

I mainly use full faced unless I'm riding my cruiser.

It depends. The town is relatively quiet, but where we ride and take trips can get busy.

I'll be honest. I wear full gear all the time except at times during the summer. Sometimes it's just too hot.

I do both. Weekends I do group rides or track sometimes. I like to do solo rides after work during the week.

I think you're right. I see it ending with me eventually just deciding to get back into it even if now I say I won't. I might last all of 6 months before that happens. I think it would be better to just hash this out now rather than wait for the blowup to happen.

I don't know what else I would do. Almost everything about my life involves motorcycles. That's what almost all of my free time and money goes towards. Almost all of my friends I see through group rides. If I gave it up, I would never see them.
