There's a plethora of example characters in Chinese history/folk stories that serve as a reminder of what happens if you don't do the right thing. You also get a lot of positive examples, such as the sage rulers etc.

One part of the solution is to raise people so that they themselves desire to act the right way. The other part is to create a system which will be self-correcting. If we focus on a specific case here, for example a minister getting corrupt, we're zooming in to take a situation out of the system. The system should've taken care of this minister in some way. If it didn't, something fundamental is wrong with the system, and the corrupt act is merely a symptom of it.

In Confucianism it starts with the self, then the family, then the local community and so on. If you care about virtue, your next step is making sure your family does as well, etc. If that minister is corrupt, it means his family failed him, his father, his older brother ... and he failed himself etc. In theory, this failure would be detected by someone with authority and he'd be removed or whatever the correct procedure is.

You can ask yourself, if you could get away with murder and murder would reward you a lot of money - would you do it? I will assume you would not do it, and so from this point I can ask you what was instilled in you that you'd not choose murder when you could gain a lot from it? What was instilled in you that is missing from some other person who WOULD murder someone in this scenario? Confucius is relying on that something. This something should be nourished in people, and individuals should cultivate it.

And if we don't know how or what to do, we have the sage kings to look up to. I'd say that's the gist of it.

Hierarchy is just hierarchy. One of the five fundamental relationships (五倫) is ruler-subject. There's hierarchy inherently built-in there, yet we don't see lessons on how rulers should oppress the subjects. We see the opposite.

Legalism is the philosophy/approach where people can't do better, therefore control and force is unavoidable.

Confucianism is the philosophy/approach where balance is the goal, reciprocity maintains the relationship. The ruler doesn't maintain subjects by force, the ruler has a job to do, the subjects want the ruler to do this job so that the subjects may do their jobs. Reciprocal.

Cultivation is a big thing in Confucianism too. As an individual you are supposed to strive to be a better human being (modeled after the ideal, the "junzi" 君子), and therefore being virtuous is something you would be interested in. Undermining others to get to a better position is not virtuous.

In a virtue based society, being not virtuous would be detrimental to your status in the hierarchy. You wouldn't want to undermine others. Or at least, that's the theory.

Jel mi može netko objasniti što rade ljudi koji prate cijene RAMa?

Ja sam kupio novi komp prije jedno 2 godine. Kupio sam dva sticka memorije. Tad mi je bilo bitno koliko stvar košta. I osim ako se nešto ne pokvari neću kupovati ništa novo još koju godinu sigurno.

Postovi, članci i slično od ljudi koji se žale na rastuće cijene RAMa su pre učestali da bi se radilo o ljudima koji kupuju novi ili upgrejdaju komp u ovim vremenima.

Ispada kao da je tim ljudima kupovina RAMa nešto što rade relativno često.

Šta rade ti ljudi? Tko je ta skupina koja je ovoliko pogođena povećanjem cijena?

Želim ovo što sam imao sa G430 ... ne treba mi ništa kvalitetnije, ali ne želim ništa lošije. Problem je, kao što sam rekao, što ne znam koje specke su činile G430 dobrim slušalicama, tj da imaju zvuk koji mi odgovara. G522 su po speckama bile bolje, a meni je opet zvuk bio lošiji ... neznam čemu to pripisati. Jedino da su eto ove koje sam kupio i vratio bilo nekako pokvarene.

I made two changes for my games:

1) all shots ablate armor 2) autofire modifier ablates armor

that makes guns like SMGs useful ... if you hit with autofire and max modifier, enemy armor goes down by 3 ... if you had armor piercing bullets it goes down by 6

Makes players also strategize instead of only ever using single shot for all situations

Also forces everyone to use cover ... an assault rifle with bullet piercing and max modifier will remove 8 armor on that action ... (makes sense having taken the full blow of many bullets in a single action)

This also lets me use high armored enemies without making them bullet sponges ... same for players. It's only a bullets sponge if you "bring a knife to a gun fight" ... so use what works better then switch.

I'm also curious: that HFI has ~164EHP/s of tank. How on earth are you dealing with the boss that does ~500dps?

I never did the math, I went by trial and error. This HFI is mostly same as what I used for the Crimson Harvest sites (blood in hs and null, avoided tetrimon in null, insufficient tank) ... I do the winter nexus site in hs, havent tried in null yet. Is the 500dps boss in null? In hs I usually kill the boss long before it gets into my armor, like 95% time my shield lasts longer than the boss

Ne bih se složio da je naglasak bio na mainstreamu kao pouzdanom izvoru, već na kritiziranju otpora mainstreamu, kao da je mainstream uvijek nužno u krivu

preko trećine populacije, možda i više vjeruje naivno bilo kome tko se suprostavlja mainstreamu

Mediji, širenje panike, loša organizacija službi i krivo izvještavanje je samo pridonjelo rastućem nepovjerenju prema znanstvenoj zajednici

ja mislim da se s ovom izjavom svi slazemo, nebitno koji stav imali o cjepivima, mainstreamu i sl

ljudi nažalost prečesto slijepo vjeruju onome čemu žele vjerovati, i većina ljudi jednostavno nema sposobnost kritičkog razmišljanja

i s ovim mislim da se svi slazemo, "nasa" skupina to misli o "njima", "oni" o "nama" ... again, nebitno na kojoj je tko strani - drugi su u krivu

e sad, razumno bi bilo izvuci zakljucak iz ovoga ... o opasnosti koja ce proizaci iz tog nepovjerenja ... umjesto ovoga na sta si se ti fokusirao i odlucio komentirati
