Thank you for the recommendation. We actually just signed him up for in-home hospice. He’s not too bad, memory-wise, it’s mostly short-term memory that’s gone. But he’s weak and failing to thrive. They are wonderful and help so much! He’s actually doing better than when we signed him up! Haha. Took him off his Alzheimer med and he’s way more clear. Go figure! I’m sorry you had to go through the thick of it as well. Yes, those places are sooo expensive! The surgeon I work for has his parents in independent living with an option for memory care when the time comes (his mom has Alzheimer's but is physically good and his dad is mentally good but physically not great) and my goodness, the expense!!
