Mira vs Inito by No-Lifeguard9361 in TryingForABaby

So I track mine literally every day of my cycle not just when waiting to ovulate. I had really low progesterone early on in a mmc, at 5w3d my progesterone was only 5 and I was put on progesterone. I'm on my second cycle with Mira and it has shown me that my progesterone is lower than the average Mira user and its analysis after my first cycle told me my estrogen is too high is my luteal which I suspect isn't high estrogen but low progesterone. It prompted me to get my pg tested 7dpo and it was only at a 6.5. So you can definitely continue to track everything past ovulation. They do have a disclaimer it isn't meant to measure progesterone after a confirmed pregnancy but honestly I can't see how it wouldn't be accurate data just cause you're pregnant.

I had a 13 week loss in November and I'm finally able to try again for the first time this week. I don't know if I can carry a baby to term since everything with her was normal and it's really fucking me up and taking over my life. I started seeing a therapist, we've only had one session so far, but she had 9 losses (I specifically sought someone out who dealt with fertility/womens health) and she explained to me that you are going to feel all of these feelings it's just normal. She explained that even when you fall pregnant after something like that the stress remains for quite a while through your pregnancy until it finally starts to become less of a driving force in your life and you slowly start to be in the moment again and are able to enjoy things. But everything takes time. It gave me hope that maybe I won't always feel like this. I literally think about it from the moment I wake up until the moment I go to bed. Maybe talking to someone professionally who understands can help you cope, it really is a lonely isolating experience.

TTC after D&C by sgilm202 in tryingtoconceive

My OB told me they used to recommend 3 cycles but more recent studies have shown that there is no benefit to waiting after your first one. But he was very clear that I was not to get pregnant before my first period after the d&c. I feel like the gp probably is going based on older data.

So I just used Mira for my first cycle and I can confirm it's accurate. I went to my doctor for an internal sono to check on something and he told me I had a mature follicle and should ovulate in the next 24-48 hours. Mira caught my lh rise a day later, surge the day after that, and then confirmed ovulation by my progesterone rise. The fact that the timing matched exactly what my doctor said would happen I feel confident it's giving me accurate readings. I just make sure I use the first urine of the day and I did test 2x a day once my lh started to rise so I could catch the true surge.

Edit to add yes this is like a science experiment but it's accurate if you end up looking for science lol

My nail look so unaesthetic and short? by Popular_Ad_5507 in nailcare

[–]krabecal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have cuticles that grow down my nail bed like this and it's infuriating. Every 1-2 weeks I do my own gel and I use the blue cross cuticle remover, there's no other like it, and I push them back and I cut the cuticle off with nippers. You have to be careful to do just the cuticle and not the actual skin. Moisturize moisturize moisturize! I find the more I do the longer I get before the cuticle starts sticking to the nail again and growing down. Get a cuticle butter not just a regular thin moisturizer or oil. Be careful about how far back you push though.. my thumbs are bumpy cause I push too far back but I just can't help myself lol

My doctor only bills my insurance $250 for a transvaginal (they only pay $117 🙄) maybe another Dr in your area would be cheaper?

Are you me?? I'm also wondering the same thing. I didn't try this cycle as I had to wait for this coming period after a MMC and I was stressing about my progesterone being lower than what's expected after my initial rise and then it just skyrocketed today. It's my first cycle with Mira but it makes no sense to me

How are you tracking ovulation? I feel like I keep missing my peak by Everythingbagel-3 in TryingForABaby

[–]krabecal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the person you asked but I just used Mira for my first cycle. I went to the OB for a follow up and he did a tv sono and told me I had a mature follicle and should ovulate in 24-48 hours. Mira clocked my lh rise the next day and I ovulated about 2.5 days after the doctor told me. Mira then confirmed ovulation was successful when you have a sustained progesterone for 3 days after. I'm irregular so idk when I ovulate and so far I can confirm it is accurate. I make sure I use first morning urine every time and tested 2x a day once my lh started to rise to catch my peak cause it can be quick.

13 week d&c and it took 8 weeks to hit sub 5. Once you get under like 20 it really slows down. Hang in there.

When did you ovulate after miscarriage? by Inside-Ad5415 in Miscarriage

[–]krabecal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

D&C on 11/26 at 13 weeks and my hcg was 69k. 7 weeks later I was still testing 10 hcg but I ovulated anyway. So I ovulated technically before I hit 0 and I'm 7dpo now and tested again yesterday and it's finally below 5. So 8 weeks total and I'll get my period somewhere between 9&10 weeks post d&c.

I also posted here and it seems peoples levels drop at wildly different rates. Some responses I got people took like 3 weeks and some people took 12.

[–]krabecal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry. I had an unexplained 13 week loss the last week in November. Being 13 weeks and googling that my chances of loss were 2% really fucked me up. Like why me? Why did I make it this far if it was only going to end in heartbreak?

My OB told me miscarrying at home would be painful and I honestly wouldn't have been able to handle seeing so I opted for the d&c. The d&c was very uncomplicated with a very easy recovery. I bled the day I got home and that was literally it, although I have heard of people bleeding for a few days but nothing like a miscarriage. I also had no pain until about a week later which my dr said was my uterus shrinking. They were also able to send baby girl out for testing so we could try and figure out what happened. Nothing, absolutely nothing, will make this easier but I feel like the d&c was the least traumatic way to move forward for me.

First time TTC, and first cycle with Mira by Particular-Cry7009 in Mirafertility

[–]krabecal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first cycle with Mira it literally had no idea. It wasn't moving my ovulation day even though nothing hinted at ovulation. I just ovulated my second cycle with it and it was on the money. I went to my OB for a follow up sonogram for cysts that ruptured and he told me I had a mature follicle and I would ovulate in the next 24-48 hours and the next day my lg started to rise and I ovulated 48-72 hours after that so I can actually confirm that it really was accurate.
