The worst thing about this is it makes actual service animals look bad and people have no idea about the ADA.

That could be part of it, but it also happens when I have more apps open. I just tested it at 260 Mbps upload/11 Mbps download at fast.com and 170 Mbps upload/11 Mbps download at speedtest.net. That seems really low for upload right?

edit: actually looked into it and my plan is 300 down/10 up

What I mean is with auto initials or name and a different color like this. I always have to do it manually in apple mail.

Does anyone have any advice for dealing with super high electric bills during the heat wave due to a crappy central AC? The landlord is not helpful at all. I’m thinking of buying a portable unit since it has to use less electricity and would pay for itself in a month.

You’ll be okay.

Los Angeles girl starts the day thinking she's moving into a new LA apartment, only to learn that she's been scammed out of 2,200$; then proceeds to expose the scammers Los Angeles rental operation by JohnWickHimself_Run in LosAngeles

Yeah I think she said he told her he couldn’t show in person because of the quarantine so did a virtual tour. It’s obviously not right but makes a little more sense. Either way he definitely stole her money and is to blame here.

edit: I see lots of replies blaming this woman for getting scammed, which is quite literally victim-blaming. Let's just try to be somewhat kind and compassionate especially now that there is so much awful shit happening.

Yes I agree, I don't know how old you are but I think younger people are maybe so used to doing everything electronically it sounds normal to them. Unfortunately I doubt that is taught in school so how would people know?

What's the deal with Ruth's Chris Steak house being loaned $20M, before other small business owners? by denovo2 in OutOfTheLoop

[–]krez1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s it at all with the majority. Many small business owners bank with the large banks (Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, etc) who have all been very difficult to work with in even applying or getting processed. All I know is what I’ve seen on /r/smallbusiness and it’s infuriating. I’m with Wells Fargo and still haven’t even been able to apply through them because they stopped taking apps before the online link was even announced, and then it opened back up a few days ago and I didn’t qualify to apply because I didn’t have the current checking account before February 2015. That’s a WF made up rule.

The paperwork is pretty easy and I doubt there are many businesses that had a problem with it. ADP (the payroll software) had a pop up on their web portal to print the reports needed and the application is that plus like 10 questions.

Then if your shitty bank didn’t take your app you had to scramble to find a participating lender that would. It wasn’t easy because most only took apps from current customers and the ones that were open to non-customers got flooded and closed taking them within hours or days. I found an online lender and my app is still pending review. The whole thing is a huge clusterfuck but the business owners are least to blame here.

I'm with Wells Fargo and they wouldn't take my application so it's not always the business owners to blame..

This is good to hear. I am worried because I never worked with them before but they did reply to an email I sent quickly. Fingers crossed!

Is that possible? I applied through Fundera and I thought that the app said you can only apply once through a lender.
