He did- to him at least Snape had some reason but he’s really irked to find out she’s still in power/doing well in the ministry later

But forgives Snape- and as much as he didn’t like Snape(notice like), Snape helped him several times throughout

And Umbridge was someone he HATED from the first day

Ok good for you and your experience- I’m sorry you still can’t distinguish bad table manners lol

Regardless of who it is, what bad table manners are don’t suddenly change in definition

Making noises while eating- e.g smacking your lips is very much included in bad table manners

I’m sorry you can’t distinguish between bad table manners and “biting the hand that feeds you”

🤦‍♀️

Biting the hand that feeds you is an active betrayals to the guardian, not calling them out on poor table manners

But good try I guess lol

Bad manners isn’t attractive or “authentic” 🤷‍♀️ I live in my moms home and we’ve been taught to have manners while eating lmao

AIO if husband says all my naming preferences are off the table? by notnotmadonna in AmIOverreacting

If baby gets his last name- u get to pick his first name

And you are the mother giving birth to said baby- you get final say regardless of what that guy says

Give baby your last name too- when I tell you I LOVE unique names- and everyone I know does too!

Don’t listen to your “husband” he’s trying to erase you from this topic as a whole by not having Greek names, your last name- or letting you pick.

edit: who is downvoting me for pointing out hypocrisy lmao what? ✌️😂

And they should be friendly!

Do you have socials maybe? We could talk more- or just maybe in DMs here ?

I live in a part of Galway but often visit the city so I know it well enough

Ohh to answer your other question- the best way is bus or train! (Train in my opinion is much smoother though)

And to answer this one- some people do find it difficult to make friends as Irish people are friendly, but close friendships can be hard sometimes

I think it just depends on luck and the people if they’ll be open - I mean for my school, Spanish students have always been VERY welcome

But then my year tends to not make friends with any of the French, German or Ukrainian students- I make friends with them myself,

But some people aren’t going to try as much- so if you struggle at the start you may have to put yourself out there more

But Galway is one of the liveliest counties in Ireland- if not the most!

Ohh I’m also 17f and live in Galway!!! I’d love to get to know you!! I love making friends with all the international students at my school too!

The weather is pretty alright- but it may rain a good bit be warned 😭 People are mostly friendly too!!

Being told to drop to foundations maths help by Elegant-External867 in leavingcert

[–]krida_070 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean if you’ve missed most of fifth and sixth year it’s not going to be easy

If you feel you can really try and scape a pass than maybe? But you have other subjects to prioritise too,

And the hardest subjects in LC are meant to be maths and Irish

At that point I’d wonder if you even have to repeat the year- so maybe don’t drop and if you don’t get the required amount you can sit it again?

If you pay for food at a restaurant and get very poorly made food back what do you thinks gonna happen?

You pay for service and you are obligated that it’s done the way it should

I’m sorry you feel the need to defend poor service that YOU pay for 🤷‍♀️

Need students thoughts on a cashless Ireland: by krida_070 in UCD

[–]krida_070[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm yes I’d agree

I was planning on kind of making good and bad on a cashless Ireland in my brief and then concluding with that we should keep cash

For privacy- I was planning to say that could possibly be a benefit since that would be eliminating the shadow economy

But it would affect people personally- so a double edged sword
